As a Shipbuilding Engineer, you will primarily work with Cadmatic Hull software. Experience with this tool is a plus, but if you're new to it, we’ll make sure you learn all the necessary skills. A deep understanding of Cadmatic Hull is (or will become) your expertise, as it is essential for this role. Nothing stays hidden from you; you are driven to explore every function, master every detail, and push the software to its full potential. You translate designs into detailed production drawings and work closely with clients to advance automation and robotics in the shipbuilding process.
Your role is key in shipbuilding engineering. You will create workshop drawings for construction sections, prepare material specifications for procurement, and generate production data needed for manufacturing. You will also have the opportunity to learn nesting techniques for hull production, including translating hull designs into manufacturable shell plate components.
Collaboration is very important. Working closely with colleagues and clients, you help ensure that designs are not only technically sound but also practical for production. A focus on efficiency and optimization drives the use of smart software solutions, contributing to robotization innovations that shape the future of shipbuilding.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
✔ Translate designs into detailed production drawings for shipbuilding sections.
✔ Prepare material specifications and generate production data.
✔ Work with Cadmatic Hull, as well as other software like AutoCAD and Rhinoceros.
✔ Generate shell plate developments and templates for production.
✔ Explore and implement automation and robotics to enhance production efficiency.
✔ Contribute to construction optimization and accessibility within shipbuilding processes.
YOUR PROFILE
✔ MBO or HBO degree in Maritime Engineering or another technical field.
✔ Experience with or interest in Cadmatic Hull, AutoCAD, and Rhinoceros.
✔ Affinity with shipbuilding structures and production processes.
✔ Solution-oriented, analytically strong, and precise in your work.
✔ Experience with automation and robotics is a plus.
✔ Strong communication skills in English.
