As a Naval Architect/Structural Designer at DEKC Maritime, you are responsible for designing and analyzing ship structures and other maritime constructions. Acting as the bridge between the engineering team and the client, you use your design and analytical skills to create structures that meet client requirements, classification society standards and efficient buildability.

You will have the opportunity to develop innovative ship designs that make an impact in the maritime industry. You play a key role in solving complex maritime challenges, finding creative solutions for a diverse range of real-world client issues. Working on challenging projects, you integrate functionality, regulations, sustainability and performance into well-thought-out and efficient designs.

With strong analytical skills, you apply your technical expertise and creativity to develop practical solutions. Your keen eye for optimization opportunities allows you to improve designs and think beyond conventional approaches. You’re not afraid to ask critical questions, if it leads to a better design, you welcome the discussion.

Precision and result-driven thinking define your approach. You carefully assess risks and design choices, aligning them with the Project Manager, client and department manager. You work closely with specialists and peers in CFD, structural analysis, mechanical engineering and production engineering to take designs to the next level.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

✔ Design maritime structures.
✔ Develop ship designs from concept to detailed engineering.
✔ Translate client requirements into innovative, feasible and efficient designs and solutions.
✔ Collaborate with specialists in CFD, FEM, mechanical engineering and regulations.
✔ Coordinate with classification societies to ensure compliance with regulations.
✔ Act as a technical point of contact for clients and project teams.
✔ Plan and manage resources, anticipating technical challenges efficiently.
✔ Support the sales process with technical expertise and feasibility analyses.

YOUR PROFILE

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related field.
✔ At least 4 years of experience as a Structural Designer or Naval Architect.
✔ Strong analytical skills in structural calculations for maritime constructions.
✔ Knowledge of ship hydrodynamics, hydrostatic calculations and classification rules.
✔ Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., Cadmatic or Rhino).
✔ Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
✔ Solution-oriented, analytical and precise in your work.
✔ Strong communication skills in English.
