Acta Orion is a DP2 windfarm support vessel designed and built by DEKC Maritime for Acta Marine. The vessel is designed to provide a comfortable accommodation and workspace to up to 88 technicians during the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms.
The hull shape is optimized to reduce the vessel motions, resulting in a high workability and the aforementioned high level of comfort for the technicians onboard. Safe and reliable transfer of these technicians to the wind turbines is achieved by means of a motion-compensated gangway and the boat landings. From the bridge, which houses the DP control station, the crew has a direct
view of the working deck, gangway, and knuckle-boom crane.
Acta Orion is a prime example of a vessel where DEKC Maritime provided the entire design and engineering package, starting from the first sketches and leading all the way to the last workshop drawings and approved stability documents. Steel
cutting and building supervision were carried out in cooperation with our trusted partners. For Acta Marine, Acta Orion was a one-stop product.
